The Man Behind The Curtain

Posted by CC on June 8, 2012

In the popular musical “Wicked,” the Wizard (of Oz), defending his phony powers, sings: “Then suddenly I’m here, Respected – worshipped, even, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the WestJust because the folks in Oz, Needed someone to believe in.” What about us, must we seek transcendence? Do we need someone, something, to believe in?

This sermon, from June 3, 2012, was delievered by the Reverend Danny Ray Reed. Please note that the previous sermon was not recorded due to technical difficulties.

Just for the fun of it, our book reading this week is “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West” by Gregory Maquire, the book upon which the musical Reverend Reed went to is based.
